Mini-Blog: Embracing Nursery Rhymes

Rain, Rain, go away,
Come again another day.

Sometimes I feel like a little girl again. I want to wear my hair in pigtails and splash in puddles and pout when I don't get my way and giggle.

I don't think I ever grew up.

I hope I never do.

Me too. ;-) I can't remember who said it, but there's a quote that say we write about golden apples to remind ourselves of the wonder we felt when we saw an apple for the first time as a child. Children have a unique and wonderful way of seeing the world!

I dance in the rain all the time : ) Sometimes I bring my umbrella, sometimes I wear my bathing suit.

The little girl will always be inside you ... let her out once in awhile :)

Start in the midst of things--that's one of the rules of epic poetry. Starting when it's not the beginning makes the reader have to catch up. That is what you did. I LOVE it. Thanks for sharing.

I posted this comment on the wrong post. It was meant for beginnings. Sorry.
